Description

Yay! I finished my April pillow, Aqua Urban Seaweed.  I really tried to have it ready for Wendy’s monthly round up, however, I’m just pleased that it’s completed!

My sister was visiting from England in April, and one of her big requests was to visit our local fabric shop Birch (known by some of you by its online name fabricworm.com). Love, love, love their fabric! So, while Susan was trying to figure out how much fabric she could acquire without exceeding her 50 lb. luggage limit, I was going turquoise/aqua CRAZY.  I decided to use my fab new fabrics to coordinate with my Life AQUAtic (soon to be completed).

I had picked up a fat quarter of Birch Organic Fabrics, Ipanema, and decided to use it on the back in honor of my husband, who loves all things surf/beachy.  I have to admit that I love the back just as much as the front! (I could have saved myself a lot of time, haha). And also added the hidden zipper from Wendy’s tutorial.

Wonderful - both front and back! What a great finish. Pinning this.
I just purchased a fq "bees knees" bundle from fabricworm that may end up in a pillow. Or I might get more fabric for mother's day and have enough for a quilt. I have overheard interesting hints.

Mymble HawkFan Carolmarie Thanks- I'm in a turquoise phase right now...and I love the back too! I picked up the fat quarter impulsively, not realizing it would have the great honor of backing one of my pillows! haha.

Terryt1955 I had no idea that the fabricworm was so popular until my sister mentioned it - its only 2 miles from my house, but I try not to drop in very often or I get into trouble! and thanks :)
