I'd been planning on sewing the pink pillows for my daughter's second birthday for a while, and then I found this Goodnight Moon print. It's her favorite book, so I'm sewing a third pillowcase. The main panel piece isn't quite big enough for a pillowcase, so I also had LJ pick out a fat quarter to make up the difference (really, I showed her the Goodnight Moon fat quarters and she picked this one). These, some books, a knit afghan...should be good for a two-year-old.
The fabric is from Gathering Fabric Quilt Shop in Woodinville, WA.
July: she ended up getting it early, because the fuzzy pillow she'd gotten from her grandmother turned out to be the kitten's favorite thing to "nurse" on, and it's covered in cat spit.
I've seen that Goodnight Moon fabric at Gathering Fabrics and thought of LJ too. Isn't is beautiful?
We should make her some blue and white striped pjs like the bunny has on in the fabric!
Oh, this is darling!
Oh, I love the idea of blue and white striped jammies to go with ... great idea Speattle !
That sweet little head asleep on the pillow is my beautiful granddaughter. I've made her lots of sleepwear and I guess I need to be on the lookout for suitable fabric for Good Night Moon jammies.
Maybe we should make a trip to Gathering Fabric and see if there are pieces from this collection that would work...
Well, the good news about your kids being old for college is that in another 5-10 years you might get grandbabies to play with!
LOL, she is wearing Uncle's old shirt!
