* Reference the tutorial I have chosen. Her blocks are cut at 5", please cut yours to 4.5" so that the final block will be 12.5" square. *

For my month as queen I have chosen a 9 patch block with a twist. The first and last block will be pinwheels.

My colours are low volume except for the pinwheel block which I would like in Kona/bright white and either orange, hot pink or chartreuse/lime green. I have created a pinterest folder so you can see what I am after. You can do both pinwheels in the same colour or choose two, but please only one colour on each pinwheel. Your colour can either be with a print on print fabric in a single colour or just a plain fabric. On one of my blocks I used a Kona green and then for the white used a white spot on white just to add a little texture to the block. All I ask is that the colour fabric is not a mix of colours. Reference the pinwheels could I ask that when you sew them together that the colour and white are in the same position as mine on your block please.  If you have any script fabric that you think qualifies please pop a block in.

If you are unsure of what low volume is there are lots of examples here, and this You tube video has some explanation - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCTyTunnXTo

My plan is to turn the blocks into disappearing 9 patch blocks but I would like you to stop once you have constructed the 9 patches and I will cut them down further once I have received all the blocks.

I would also love a siggy block from all of you, with a white middle and either the orange, pink or green for the corners. and the tutorial for that can be found here : http://www.psiquilt.com/2010/01/siggy-block-tutorial.html

Dying to see what the DP9 patch is going to look like when using the pinwheels! Sounds really interesting! Off to check off your boards. Sorry for stalking your Hive but your block was too lovely to resist!

Terryt1955 no problem. I stalk every one else's too. Love seeing what other hives are up to.

I checked out what the block is going to look like once it's cut and reconstructed. Cute block!!!! For some reason I was thinking the pinwheel would get cut as well and i just couldn't wrap my mind round it.
