June is my month to be Queen for the Thread Diva group and I have chosen a flying geese block.
Blocks will finish at 15.5" X 15.5" (please don't trim your blocks - I'll do that when I get them!)
Each block is made up of 8 flying geese units arranged in a 2 X 4 layout (2 across, 4 down). Each flying geese unit will finish at 4.5" X 8.5"COLORS:
I am sending each person a small piece of fabric from the 2wenty thr3e Collection by Eric and Julie Comstock of Cosmo Cricket for Moda. The geese (center fabrics) do not have to match the colors in this collection (they can be lighter or darker) but should coordinate with it. Any combination of gold, pink, orange or tomato reds which coordinate with the inspiration fabric are great.
The background fabrics should be either a solid gray OR low volume prints with gray. I would like the blocks to be scrappy - so different background fabrics would be great, as well as different center fabrics (although repeating a couple of them is fine!). Here is an example of the type of flying geese units I prefer
Please follow the tutorial (link below) which is on Wendy's blog.
The photo I am publishing here is the block Wendy made for me.
