Wow, what a cool idea!!!
Thanks I have to say I absolutely love it and it draws a lot of attention when people come to visit. A friend came from MI, where my Mom lives, and she had heard all about it from her. She walked in house and said "now where is this floor quilt". I would love to do another for another spot...someday!
That does look like fun. And very unique.
Thanks Juline it is not hard and the skies the limit design wise...and it is now four years old and looks great despite constant traffic and all the animals!
My mind is spinning like a hamster on an exercise wheel! I have wood floors throughout the house and hear you about rugs collecting dirt, dog hair and dog smell. This would definitely solve the problem in front of the doors that take a hard beating. Hmmmmmmmmm...
Terryt1955 You will love it! Seriously cannot tell you how people go on and on about it the first time they come in my kitchen.
I'm so surprised that it holds up to the dogs running across it and sliding to get their dog food. Can you tell my dogs are little pigs and go crazy at the sound of a package of food being opened. It's the only way I can get the lab out of my bed!
Terryt1955 LOL truly my two at @ 70 lbs. each run across it, slide on it and it is not hurt. Author of book also had big dogs and mentioned part of her motivation in creating this rug was to have something that held up to them!
I'm sold! Time to invest in some industrial knee pads!
This is the coolest look. Have always wanted to do one of these. You inspire my little brain!! Thanks!!
Conniharns Thank you! Ironically this design is more modern than I tend to be but I tried to select fabrics that were traditional. I chose design based on ease of putting it together since I have never done anything like this when I made it.
I've seen smaller versions of this under high chairs. What a good idea. I like your designs.
